Civil Engineering

In the context of Burundi Backbone System (BBS), civil engineering consists of building the physical infrastructure that supports BBS’s optical-fiber network.
The construction and infrastructure works required to deploy the optical-fiber network include:
• Earthworks and trench excavation for cables
• Laying or installation of optical-fiber cables
• Construction of buildings for base stations and data centers
